Organic Psyllium Husks - GreatVita
Psyllium Seeds and Psyllium Husks – What's the Difference?
Psyllium seeds are the whole seeds of the plant Plantago ovata, while psyllium husks are merely the outer layer of the seeds. Psyllium husks have a particularly high swelling capacity and can bind 50 times their weight in water. They are finer and swell faster than whole psyllium seeds.
Application Possibilities:
- Soak or not? Psyllium husks should be soaked in sufficient water before consumption (at least 1-2 minutes). When used in yogurt or muesli, they can also be stirred in directly.
- In Yogurt and Muesli: Perfect as a fiber-rich addition to your breakfast.
- For Baking: Ideal as a binding agent for gluten-free breads, muffins, and pizza.
- For Pets: Can be used as a natural food supplement for dogs and cats.
- No Additives: 100% organic quality, free from genetic engineering and preservatives.
Stir 2-3 teaspoons of psyllium husks daily into sufficient liquid (at least 1-2 liters of water) and drink. They can be taken before meals to promote a longer-lasting feeling of satiety.
