Chocolate dough meets caramel dough. Anyone who knows the much sought-after Biscoff spread will love this spoonful wonder. The rice flakes (as a flour alternative) make the dough much juicier, and the pinch of salt enhances the incomparable caramel aroma.
Recipe for gluten-free Choc Chip Salted Caramel Duo in a Jar
Ingredients
Dough
- 80g rice flakes
- 20g almond flour
- 40g ground almonds
- 15g crushed flax seeds
- 45g almond butter, light
- 8g cream of tartar baking powder
- 200ml almond milk, boiling hot
- 125g Alpro Dessert Caramel
- 40g Erythritol/ maple syrup
- 20g Lotus Biscoff spread
- Pinch of sea salt
- 20g dark chocolate, chopped
- 15g cocoa powder
Preparation
- Put the rice flakes in a bowl, pour the hot almond milk over them, stir well, and let them soak for 10 minutes.
- Add the remaining ingredients (except Lotus, sea salt, chocolate, cocoa powder) and mix with a hand mixer.
- Divide the dough: mix Lotus & sea salt into one half, and chocolate & cocoa powder into the other half.
- Then, fill two jars with the light dough first, and then the dark dough.
- Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes at 180°C.
- Let cool briefly and enjoy warm.
