These bars are incredibly STICKY & NUTTY! The taste is reminiscent of chewy cookie dough and, thanks to their high protein content and many good ingredients, they are the perfect snack for on the go. Our tip: You absolutely have to try them.

Recipe for Hazelnut Speculoos Protein Bars

Ingredients:

Bar Dough

  • 150g fine rolled oats
  • 20g coconut flour
  • 40g almond flour
  • 40g ground almonds
  • 80g hazelnut butter
  • 45g whole hazelnuts
  • 25g honey/date syrup
  • 50g-60g apple sauce
  • ½ tsp salt

Toppings

  • 50g dark chocolate
  • 25g chopped hazelnuts

Instructions:

  1. Mix the ingredients for the bar dough, let rest briefly, and smooth into a pan. The dough should be crumbly, but still stick together well when pressed. If too dry, simply add a little more apple sauce.
  2. Now bake for 8 minutes at 180°C.
  3. Then let the baked dough cool completely, place in the refrigerator for 1 hour, remove from the pan, and cut into bars with a sharp knife.
  4. Melt chocolate over a hot water bath, garnish the bars with chocolate and top with chopped hazelnuts.
  5. Best enjoyed immediately, but also keep for several days in the refrigerator.
